Rep. Polis, partner just want ‘nice thoughts’ for their new baby

Don’t go looking for some peace and quiet at the home of Rep. Jared Polis (D). The Colorado lawmaker says in a birth announcement for his son that the “baby has learned to cry already!”

 Polis and his partner, Marlon Reis, announced the birth of their son in a weekend email. Caspian Julius was born on Sept. 30 and weighed in at 8 pounds and 12 ounces.

The openly gay congressman has not revealed whether his little one was adopted or delivered through a surrogate.

In the announcement, Polis requests that no gifts be sent — instead just “nice thoughts for Caspian, humankind, the planet and the universe!”
