No joke — Newt Gingrich and his wife, Callista, have watched “The Hangover” seven times. Seriously.
The Republican presidential candidate admits to the Concord Monitor that the movie about a Las Vegas bachelor party is “totally stupid, but we can’t help ourselves.”
The former Speaker of the House, who calls himself a “movie-centric person,” has produced and appeared in seven documentaries with his wife.
While he names other cinematic faves, such as “Sands of Iwo Jima” and “The Magnificent Seven,” he may not show too much discretion when picking what to watch on any of his 25 movie channels at home: “I’ll turn on the TV and flip channels, and I watch almost anything that moves.”
