Casting company seeking the Snooki of politics

By Judy Kurtz - 10/26/11 06:35 PM ET

A casting company behind the MTV mega-hit “Jersey Shore” and Bravo’s “Millionaire Matchmaker” is combing the country in search of loud and proud political activists.

A release from Doron Ofir Casting says it’s teamed up with a “major cable network” to find “young hot politicos who care about America [and] follow the heated debates, rallies, protests and scandals!”

Some other attributes for the ideal TV star (that possibly half of Washington’s workforce possess) include: “You’ve volunteered for a local political campaign, stood in protest, logged over a thousand comments on blogs, tweeted Fox News or CNN on a daily basis” … and the list goes on.

The only catch might be that veteran political junkies need not apply. The casting call states that applicants have to “appear to be between 21-35.” Ouch.

If you’re looking to get your Election Day spray tan and political hair poof going, casting info can be found at www.partypoliticscasting.com.
