Congresswoman meets an ‘Iron Chef’

Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) — budding “Iron Chef”?

The congresswoman on Monday got an up-close-and-personal tour of the Food Network studios, which are housed in what used to be a Nabisco cookie factory in New York City.

And Blackburn got some one-on-one time with “Iron Chef America” star Michael Symon, who was there filming his Thursday-night Cooking Channel show, “Symon’s Suppers.”

We hear the lawmaker was familiar with the TV cooking pro and Food Network regular, and told him how much she enjoys his infectious laugh.

Symon replied that he gets lots of compliments about his hearty chortle, but that his wife finds it to be a different experience.

No word on whether Symon traded any award-winning recipes with Blackburn that she can bring back to the Capitol.
