Booker really likes the word 'coy'

By Judy Kurtz - 09/18/12 08:38 AM ET

Newark, N.J., Mayor Cory Booker (D) is playing coy about any future political plans … literally.

ITK recently posed a question to him while the affable mayor made a pit stop in Washington, asking, “Which word do you like better: governor or senator?”

Booker quickly quipped, “I love the word, uh, let’s see — coy.”

Calling it a “much better word,” Booker — the subject of plenty of buzz about a run for higher office next year or in 2014 — added with a laugh that the word “coy” is just “one letter away from ‘Cory.’ ”
