Congressional bobble-heads coming to iPhone

By Christina Wilkie - 11/16/09 06:36 PM ET

Ever had the urge to shake a digital bobble-head of your favorite member of Congress? Well, like so many other things, there’s now an app for that, thanks to an agreement reached this weekend between Mad magazine and iPhone maker Apple.

Apple initially rejected the “Bobble-Rep 111th Congress Edition”

iPhone application on the grounds that it made a mockery of public figures. But after a storm of criticism earlier last week, the company relented.

The new app will include contact information for and caricatures of 435 House members, 100 senators and five non-voting delegates, all designed by Mad artist Tom Richmond.

Users can flick the phone’s interface to make the heads bobble around.
