Emily Goodin

Emily Goodin has covered Washington politics since 1998. Before she joined The Hill, she was at The Hotline. She began her tenure there as an intern and worked her way up to editor. She also wrote a weekly column for National Journal magazine. She joined The Hill in 2008.
During her time in Washington Goodin has covered President Clinton’s impeachment; many presidential, Senate and House races; four political conventions; and numerous social events. Her picture has appeared on the New York Times social page.
Goodin has made television appearances on C-SPAN and provided commentary on the XM radio station POTUS.
A Missouri native, she graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with degrees in journalism and politics.
