Congressional Dem leaders meet again with President Obama

President Obama is capping off a day of false starts and false reports of a debt deal by meeting with Democratic congressional leaders at the White House Thursday afternoon.

A White House official confirmed that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (Nev.), Sen. Dick Durbin (Ill.), House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) and Rep. Steny Hoyer (Md.) are scheduled to attend the meeting at 5:30 p.m.

The same group was at the White House for a similar meeting on Wednesday, which was followed by a late afternoon meeting between Obama and Republican leaders John Boehner (Ohio) and Eric Cantor (Va.).
