Obamas will visit all three sites on Sept. 11

President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama will spend Sept. 11, the 10-year anniversary of the terrorist attacks on America, visiting all three of the sites where Americans were killed.

White House press secretary Jay Carney said that the Obamas will visit New York City, Shanksville, Pa., and the Pentagon to commemorate the lives lost and to "underscore the strength, resilience and unity of the American people."

On Sept. 10, Vice President Biden will also travel to Shanksville to attend the dedication of the national memorial to those passengers aboard Flight 93.
