White House press secretary Jay Carney thinks Mitt Romney is in the "doghouse."
At the White House briefing on Thursday, Carney offered his two cents on the dog saga, which surfaced after Romney aides pointed out that President Obama consumed dog meat as a child in Indonesia, noted in Obama's “Dreams from My Father” memoir.
"Making a big deal out of it sounds like somebody trying to get out of the doghouse," Carney said. "I'll leave it at that."
For months, Romney has been, well, dogged, about having carted his family dog, Seamus, in a carrier on the rooftop of his car during a long drive to Canada.
