Obamas to spend holiday weekend in Fla.

President Obama will travel to Florida on Friday where he will spend Presidents' Day Weekend, the White House announced on Wednesday.

Obama has no public events scheduled for the weekend and a White House aide said he would be spending time with his family.

The first family last vacationed in Florida in 2010, when they spent time on the state's Gulf Coast, following the BP oil spill.

The family does have their preferred vacation spots. They spend the Christmas holiday in Hawaii and spent three summers during the president's first term vacationing on Martha's Vineyard.
