Spicer said there could be one or two announcements about outstanding Cabinet positions before the weekend.
The president-elect started his day with an intelligence briefing from his national security team. He will also meet Wednesday with Isaac Perlmutter, CEO of Marvel Entertainment; David Rubenstein, cofounder of the Carlyle Group; and Ambassador Ronald Lauder, president of World Jewish Congress.
Trump will discuss ObamaCare policy with former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson, who served as former President George W. Bush’s Health and Human Services secretary.
Spicer was the only transition aide on the Wednesday morning call, which resumed after almost a week break. Trump spokesman Jason Miller last week was announced as Trump’s incoming White House communications director but said over the weekend he would not take the job.
Trump will continue to stay at Mar-a-Lago through the New Year and return to New York on Sunday.
