More people are placing bets over whether President Trump will be impeached on internet betting sites in the United States and United Kingdom.

Bettors in both countries are increasingly putting their money on the odds that Trump will be impeached before the end of the year.

Popular U.S. betting site PredictIt was offering a 27 percent chance that Congress would force Trump out of office. While low, it's a huge surge from earlier in May, when the site offered only a 7 percent chance.

The site isn't an oracle, however. In the U.K., bettors were even less kind. Betfair.com now finds it more likely than not that Trump will be ousted before the end of his first term, with a 55 percent chance. Most of the changes occurred overnight, according to the betting site's report.

"Barely a day goes by without a Trump scandal, but money talks, and punters are becoming increasingly convinced the president could be impeached sooner rather than later," a Betfair spokesperson told Reuters.

Another U.K. site, Paddy Power, is offering 3-to-1 odds that Trump will be ousted early.

Trump is facing another week of major scandals. On Tuesday, The New York Times reported that Trump personally asked former FBI Director Comey to end the investigation into his former national security adviser, Michael Flynn.
