Trump: 'Dishonest media' won't stop us from accomplishing our goals

President TrumpDonald John TrumpSchiff: Surveillance warrant docs show that Nunes memo 'misrepresented and distorted these applications' Chicago detention facility under investigation following allegations of abuse of migrant children Ex-Trump aide: Surveillance warrants are 'complete ignorance' and 'insanity' MORE on Sunday didn't let up in his criticism of the press, tweeting that “the dishonest media” will not stop his administration from accomplishing its goals.

“The dishonest media will NEVER keep us from accomplishing our objectives on behalf of our GREAT AMERICAN PEOPLE! #AmericaFirst,” Trump said.

The tweet included a video of Trump speaking Saturday night at Washington, D.C.'s Kennedy Center, where he also mocked the media.

"The fake media is trying to silence us, but we will mot let them, because the people know the truth. The fake media tried to stop us from going to the White House, but I'm president and they're not," he said Saturday.

The Sunday statement came several hours after Trump posted an edited wrestling video, originally from Reddit, which showed him taking down a person with the CNN logo over his face.

Trump last week criticized “Morning Joe” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski in a series of tweets that garnered condemnation from Republicans and Democrats. Trump mocked Brzezinski, calling her “low I.Q. Crazy Mika.”

Trump's ongoing attacks on the media have earned bipartisan criticism, with some calling it violent or beneath the office of the presidency.
