Anthony Scaramucci, President Trump's new White House communications director, reportedly said he wants to "kill all the leakers" who are disclosing inside information to reporters.

“What I want to do is I want to f------ kill all the leakers, and I want to get the President’s agenda on track so we can succeed for the American people,” Scaramucci told The New Yorker reporter Ryan Lizza.

Scaramucci called Lizza on Wednesday night, pressing him to disclose his source behind a tweet saying the communications director was dining with Trump and Fox News personalities. According to Lizza, Scaramucci wanted to know who leaked that information.

Scaramucci threatened to fire everyone in the communications office if Lizza did not disclose who his “senior White House official” source is.

“What I’m going to do is, I will eliminate everyone in the comms team and we’ll start over,” he said, according to Lizza's report.

It is also unclear whether Scaramucci knew his conversation was fair game for the reporter to write up, neither stating that it was off the record or on background before launching into his investigative query.

Scaramucci's hostile remarks about punishing leakers come at a time when the new communications chief has escalated his rhetoric on weeding out people in the press shop who are too cozy with the press.

Scaramucci has charged and then retreated with his remarks about purging everyone in the press shop he now leads.

"There are rumors that I'm firing more people," Scaramucci said Tuesday, according to a pool report. "I'm not firing any more people, at least for now."

"If the leaks continue, then I've got to let everybody go," he continued, adding that he believes some leaks are coming from the very communications office he's now leading.

Scaramucci has also escalated his feud with chief of staff Reince Priebus, reportedly convincing himself during his phone call with Lizza that Priebus was behind the leak about his dinner meeting.
