Palin razzes daughter for saying she's decided on 2012
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) said Tuesday that she has not yet decided whether she'll run for president, brushing aside a report that she has made her decision.
Speaking in Pella, Iowa, where the pro-Palin documentary film "The Undefeated" made its premiere, Palin said that she texted her oldest daughter, Bristol, after she told Fox News that her mother has arrived at a decision.
"I said, ‘What did you say this morning, honey?'" Palin said. "I told Bristol, too, what is talked about on the fishing boat stays on the fishing boat.
"I don't know what she said, but I'm still thinking about it," she added.
Palin, the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee, has been extremely coy about her intentions regarding the 2012 presidential primary.
Bristol Palin, meanwhile, told Fox that her mother "definitely knows" whether she'll run and said she would like her to enter the race.
"We've talked about it before, but some things just need to stay in the family," she said.
Should she run, Palin said that she would be committed to the Iowa caucus process, even though she has yet to make any formal inroads in the state.
"110 percent," said Palin when asked if she would commit to Iowa. "Doing as much as I can to garner that support. It's necessary."
