The comedian backed Ron Paul in an interview with AOL News in May, noting he also endorsed him in 2008. “Ron Paul,” Stanhope said when asked who he’s endorsing in 2012. “I registered Republican to vote for Ron Paul in the last primaries, which is very much like coming out of the closet when you’re not really gay.”
