The legendary singer, known for his Christian hits “Pray to Win” and the “Miracle of Prayer,” has put his faith in Rick Perry, telling Newsmax in July that he'd back the Texas governor. "If I had to choose right now, I think I'd endorse Rick Perry," he said. Boone has been involved in GOP politics going back to when he campaigned for Ronald Reagan, and has a lifetime achievement award from the Conservative Political Action Conference.
