The Academy Award-winning actor supported President Obama in 2008, but his comments earlier this year about racism and the Tea Party caused some controversy. "Stated policy, publicly stated, is to do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama only serves one term," Freeman said of the Tea Party’s agenda during a September interview with CNN’s Piers Morgan. "What ... underlines that? 'Screw the country. We're going to do whatever we [have to] do to get this black man ... outta here.' "
