Dodd names campaign national co-chairmen

White House hopeful Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) announced Thursday that two members of Congress and a former senator would serve as national co-chairmen of his presidential campaign.

Jim Sasser (D-Tenn.) will join Sanford Cloud, former president of the National Conference for Community and Justice, in leading Dodd’s effort.

Dodd said he asked those selected to join him because of his campaign’s commitment to diversity.

“I’m a proud and enthusiastic soldier for Chris Dodd for President,” Becerra said during a conference call with reporters.
