Senate Dems outraise GOP counterparts

By Aaron Blake - 07/20/09 10:53 AM ET
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) raised $6.2 million in June, outraising the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) by nearly $3 million.

The DSCC banked $7.9 million and had $3.7 million in debt. When adjusted for debt, that puts it and the NRSC on nearly equal footing with their current cash reserves. The NRSC, which raised $3.4 million, banked a debt-free $4.3 million.

The NRSC has raised just more than $18 million this year, while the DSCC has raised more than $22 million.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) reported last week that it raised $8 million in June and banked $23.7 million, with no debt.

June numbers were not available for the Democratic National Committee (DNC) or either of the party’s House committees as of early Monday afternoon.
