GOP rep: Let Mueller do his job

A Republican congressman on Sunday said President Trump should stop tweeting and allow special counsel Robert Mueller to conduct the Russia investigation. 

“Let Mr. Mueller complete his work,” Rep Charlie DentCharles(Charlie) Wieder DentChamber targets Pennsylvania Republicans in tax-reform ads Republican rep: GOP has to ‘stand up and oppose this type of racism’ GOP rep: Let Mueller do his job MORE (R-Pa.) told CNN’s “State of the Union.” 

“Less is more. Say little. There’s nothing to say about this if I were president.”

Dent’s comments echoed those of other Republicans who have said the president should stop tweeting and let Mueller complete the probe. 

Mueller enjoys bipartisan support among lawmakers, who believe his reputation as FBI director equips him to lead the investigation into Russia’s attempts to meddle in the United States election and potential ties between Trump campaign staff and the Kremlin.

Trump has repeatedly tweeted about the Russia investigation, last week calling the probe a "witch hunt."
