Conservative media figures slam Hillary Clinton for 'politicizing' Las Vegas shooting

"The crowd fled at the sound of gunshots. Imagine the deaths if the shooter had a silencer, which the NRA wants to make easier to get,” Clinton tweeted to her 18.6 million followers.

“Our grief isn't enough. We can and must put politics aside, stand up to the NRA, and work together to try to stop this from happening again," she said in another tweet.

Some media members on the right quickly slammed Clinton for the comments, particularly her mention of a silencer being used on the automatic rifle.

Clinton's tweet came just hours after the mass shooting, which resulted in the deaths of at least 58 people. More than 500 others were wounded at the outdoor country music festival.

President Trump said Monday afternoon he will visit Las Vegas on Wednesday. He will go to hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico on Tuesday.
