Fox Business Network topped rival CNBC in the race for total viewers in business television for the 14th consecutive month, according to Nielsen Media Research.

In the month of July during business hours, Fox Business delivered an average of 203,000 viewers versus CNBC's 147,000 average. In the Total Day category of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., Fox Business registered an average of 142,000 viewers to CNBC's 132,000.

CNBC did deliver more viewers in the 25-54 demographic overall, however, edging out Fox Business with an average of 24,000 to Fox Business's 23,000 during business hours.

Fox Business, which was launched in 2007, also secured the top seven programs on business television in total viewers. It led with "Lou Dobbs Tonight," which captured the top spot in business for the 27th consecutive month with an average of 319,000 viewers per evening and 33,000 in the 25-54 demographic that advertisers covet most. "Varney & Co" was first during the Business Day hours, averaging 260,000 total viewers.

“The economy is the story. Jobs, taxes, trade and technology," Fox Business President Brian Jones said in a statement provided to The Hill. "Viewers are watching their wallets and FBN!"

"When you match the most experienced and approachable talent in financial news with the most creative and innovative producers and team, you see success," continued Jones, who was promoted to president of the business network in May 2017. "And that success means that every Fox Business show is seeing higher viewership year over year. While CNBC is at record lows, their viewers are fleeing to FBN.”

Several CNBC anchors, hosts and reporters have jumped to Fox Business over the years, including Neil Cavuto, Stuart Varney, Trish Regan, Melissa Francis, Liz Claman, Charles Gasparino and Maria Bartiromo. CNBC was launched in 1989.
