Klobuchar to assume DSCC post

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) yesterday named Sen. Klobuchar, a freshman who won an open-seat race by a wide margin in 2006, will lead the committee’s efforts to reach women, environmental groups and youth.

She will lead the DSCC’s Women’s Senate Network, a group devoted to supporting female candidates that started in 2001 and includes all 11 female Democratic senators.
