Sheldon Adelson, the casino mogul and staunch GOP donor, contributed $5 million to support President Trump’s inauguration, according to a Tuesday Federal Election Commission filing.

Adelson’s contribution is the highest donation contribution ever given for a president’s inaugural ceremony, according to The New York Times

Other close allies to the president also provided substantial donations, including the New England Patriots' Robert Kraft, who donated $1 million, and Blackstone CEO Steve Schwarzman, who donated $250,000, the FEC filing shows.
