“Come on people, it’s no big deal,” Noah said on Tuesday night's broadcast.

“Everyone watches porn alright? It’s part of being a normal human being, which is exactly why we know Ted Cruz didn’t do it," he continued.

"He didn't do it. He's pretending to like porn as a way to blend in with the rest of the human species. Nice try, Ted."

Cruz on Tuesday blamed a "staffing issue" for the incident.

He told reporters it was a mistake, noting there are a number of people on his team who have access to the Twitter account.

"It appears that someone inadvertently hit the like button," he said.

"It was a staffing issue, and it was inadvertent. It was a mistake. It was not a deliberate action."

"We’re dealing with it internally, but it was a mistake, it was not malicious conduct," Cruz added.
