GOP Main Street pulls in almost $300k

The Republican Main Street Partnership raised almost $300,000 for seven centrist House candidates at an event Tuesday night at the Capitol Hill Club.

Members include Reps. Nancy Johnson (Conn.), Jim GerlachJames (Jim) GerlachPa. The amount raised is comparable to the sum from a similar event in 2005.

Of the current beneficiaries, Schwarz faces a primary challenge from conservative candidate Tim Walberg, who has received significant financial backing from the Club for Growth.
