McKinney's '04 foe to take another try

Republican Catherine Davis, who worked for Sen. George Allen (R) when he was governor of Virginia, announced yesterday that she will try again to dethrone Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.).

“McKinney’s dismal legislative record and her outrageous behavior are an embarrassment to the hard working folks in my district,” Davis, an executive with Sprint, said in a statement.

McKinney could face criminal charges for hitting a Capitol Police officer with her cell phone this year.

She lost her seat in 2002 but reclaimed it in 2004, beating Davis 64-36 percent. Sen.
