Chris Murphy blasts Trump for ‘attacking Democrats’ while hurricane ravages Texas

"My god. At this exact moment people are dying in the worst natural disaster of his Presidency & instead of leading he's attacking Democrats," Murphy tweeted.

While the president has issued several tweets providing updates on Harvey, he took heat on Sunday for a series of unrelated tweets on NAFTA negotiations, his proposed border wall with Mexico and a plug for Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke's book. 







The president's tweets come as Texas grapples with severe flooding from Harvey, which made landfall in the state last Friday. 

The death toll from the storm has risen to five, according to several reports.
