Axios reported Tuesday that it had obtained a document that included alleged sexual harassment accusations against Schumer by a former female staffer.

The 13-page document appeared to look like a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court, but lacked information that would have normally been included in the document, such as a lawyer for the former staffer.

Schumer dismissed the allegations on Wednesday as baseless.

"It was a phony allegation, forged, false from start to finish," he told reporters.

Schumer's office noted to Axios that they had turned over the legal document and asked them to pursue criminal charges.
