Barring delays, Senate set for Tuesday votes
The Senate is still scheduled to start votes at 5 p.m. Tuesday, but staffers say the schedule could change if lawmakers can't make it into Washington.
The Senate is scheduled to convene at 2 p.m. to resume consideration of Joseph Greenway Jr. for the U.S. circuit judge for the 3rd Circuit, as well as Craig Becker for membership to the National Labor Relations Board.
At 5 p.m., the Senate is expected to vote on the confirmation of Greenway, followed by a vote to invoke cloture on the Becker nomination.
The House canceled its votes scheduled for Tuesday.
The federal government closed all its offices Tuesday for the second day in a row. The D.C. Metro warned passengers it may close early Tuesday afternoon, depending on the weather.
