Sunday show preview: The economy and the race to 2012 in the spotlight

By Jamie Klatell - 06/04/11 11:11 AM ET

The struggling economy will be the big topic on this Sunday morning talk show circuit this week.

After employment figures showed only modest job growth last month, the White House is sending its economic adviser Austin Goolsbee to ABC's "This Week" and CNN's "State of the Union."

Former Office of Management and Budget Director Alice Rivlin and former director of the Congressional Budget Office Douglas Holtz-Eakin will also be on CNN.

The looming presidential race will also get its share of the spotlight.

Potential candidate Sarah Palin with be on "Fox News Sunday." Contender for the Republican nomination or not, she is casting a long shadow on the early stages of the race. Palin is also a paid contributor to Fox News.

On CBS' "Face the Nation," House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour (R) square off.

NBC's "Meet the Press" is preempted this week because of the network's coverage of the French Open.
