Sunday show preview: Labor Day politics

Conservative kingmaker Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) gets top billing on two the of talk shows this weekend. DeMint will be on ABC’s “This Week” and CNN’s “State of the Union” to talk about the 2012 campaign and Congress’s return to Washington.

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) will also be on CNN to talk about national security as we approach the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

Two of the Republican hopefuls looking to unseat President Obama in 2012 will be on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” Rep. Michele Bachmann (Minn.) and former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman will sit down with host Bob Schieffer.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney is the guest on “Fox News Sunday,” as he continues his media tour to promote his new memoir.

NBC’s “Meet the Press” will focus on the politics of the economy, with a panel discussion featuring Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.).
