Sunday show preview: Presidents Day politics and Washington’s state of play
The 2012 Republican presidential hopefuls will dominate the talk shows this holiday weekend.
Rick Santorum, who is the front-runner in national polls, will be the guest on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”
Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), who dropped a presidential bid, and Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels (R), who never launched a presidential bid, will offer their perspectives on the race on CNN.
Robert Gibbs, an Obama campaign adviser and former press secretary, will visit ABC’s “This Week” to talk about the president’s plan to win reelection.
Current members of Congress will also make the rounds to talk about the payroll tax deal and foreign affairs.
House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and ranking member Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) will be on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” and Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) will be on “This Week.”
