Sunday show preview: Presidents Day politics and Washington’s state of play

The 2012 Republican presidential hopefuls will dominate the talk shows this holiday weekend.

Rick Santorum, who is the front-runner in national polls, will be the guest on CBSFace the Nation. 

Ron Paul will visit CNNState of the Union, and Newt Gingrich will be on Fox News Sunday.

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), who dropped a presidential bid, and Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels (R), who never launched a presidential bid, will offer their perspectives on the race on CNN.

Robert Gibbs, an Obama campaign adviser and former press secretary, will visit ABCThis Week to talk about the presidents plan to win reelection.

Current members of Congress will also make the rounds to talk about the payroll tax deal and foreign affairs.

House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and ranking member Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) will be on NBCMeet the Press, and Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) will be on This Week.
