Sunday show preview: Santorum, Romney, McCain and Clooney

By Jamie Klatell - 03/17/12 11:38 AM ET

The 2012 elections will dominate this weekend's talk shows, but a Hollywood A-lister will vie for the headlines.

Mitt Romney, the front-runner in the race for the Republican presidential nomination, will have a rare Sunday sit down on "Fox News Sunday." The candidate hot on his heels, Rick Santorum, will be on ABC's "This Week" and CNN's "State of the Union."

Two top strategists will give their views on the state of politics on CBS's "Face the Nation." Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus and David Axelrod, a top adviser to President Obama's reelection campaign, will talk to Bob Schieffer.

George Clooney, who has been at the White House and in handcuffs this week, will be on both "Fox News Sunday" and NBC's "Meet the Press." He and Enough Project co-founder John Prendergast will talk about their advocacy work in Sudan.

Foreign affairs will be the focus on "Meet the Press," as Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), ranking member of the Armed Services Committee, will talk about the U.S. role in Afghanistan.

Eklil Hakimi, the Afghan ambassador to the U.S., will give the other side's view on CNN.
