GOP lawmaker live-tweeting budget hearing

Wonks beware! A GOP lawmaker said Tuesday she plans to live-tweet the House Budget Committee's hearing on President Barack Obama's 2011 budget.

Freshman Rep. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.) recommended that political tweeters follow her account during the hearing:

I will live-Tweet the budget hearing with OMB Director Peter Orszag today at 2 p.m. EDT. Follow the debate: @cynthialummis.

Several GOP lawmaker's re-tweeted Lummis' message.

While most lawmakers typically release their statements before committee hearings, few live-tweet the proceedings. It remains to be seen if staff or the congresswoman herself will tweet during the hearing.
