Clinton campaign says it raised $6.4 million since Super Tuesday
Posted: 02/07/08 04:24 PM [ET]

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's (D-N.Y.) campaign announced Thursday that it had raised $6.4 million since Super Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, rival Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) announced his campaign has raised more than $7.5 million since the big day. That, combined with the news that Clinton had loaned her campaign $5 million and senior staff were going without pay, led many to wonder if Clinton was facing a serious money crunch.

Campaign Chairman Terry McAuliffe said Thursday the staff is being paid "100 percent," and the campaign plans to go on the air in the big March 4 states of Ohio and Texas "early next week."

McAuliffe stressed that the $6.4 raised since Super Tuesday was all from online donations.
