Obama to address House Dems next week |

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama will address House Democrats next Tuesday to reassure the lawmakers that he is ready to work with them in the fall campaign. The visit follows the Illinois senator’s travels to Europe and the Middle East and comes during the last week of session before the Democratic National Convention in August, by which time Obama will likely have chosen a running mate. Campaign manager David Plouffe met with House Democrats Wednesday to soothe sore feelings among members that the campaign had not communicated enough with members and to advocate joint cooperation. |
