Pearce to run for N.M. Senate

Rep. Steve Pearce (R-N.M.) said Tuesday that he will run for the newly open New Mexico Senate seat in 2008, setting up a primary match-up with his House GOP colleague Heather Wilson.

Pearce will inform supporters of his decision this week and will make a formal announcement in a couple weeks, he said.
