Rendell says Clinton’s unfavorable numbers will drop
Posted: 03/13/08 07:28 PM [ET]

Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell (D), a supporter of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s (D-N.Y.) campaign, said Thursday that if Clinton wins the nomination and people get to know her, the high unfavorable ratings she currently sports will drop considerably.

“On Election Day, her unfavorables will be down 10 to 15 points from where they are today,” Rendell said.

Clinton’s opponents throughout the campaign have pointed to her high unfavorable numbers, which usually hover around 48 to 49 percent, as evidence that she would struggle in a general election.
