Chris Cillizza is leaving The Washington Post and MSNBC to join CNN as a political reporter and digital editor-at-large.

Cillizza, who has been at the  Post since 2005, authors "The Fix," a popular political blog. He was also an MSNBC contributor.

Washington Post editor Marty Baron said "The Fix" will continue at the paper after Cilizza's departure.

"We’re grateful to Chris for all his excellent work at The Post and for creating The Fix, an innovative approach to political coverage in the digital era," Baron said in a statement. "We’re sorry to lose him. The Fix is blessed with an exceptionally talented team of reporters, and it will remain a central component of The Post’s political coverage. We wish Chris the very best in his new role."
