Conservative media figure Matt Drudge on Monday seemed to take a shot at President Trump, sharing an old newspaper front page featuring the president with the headline “Trump in a Slump.”

“Life is a circle,” The Drudge Report founder captioned the image.

The image was from a June 5, 1990, cover of The New York Daily News from Trump's days as a real estate mogul. "Worried banks are pressing him on $2 billion debt," the newspaper adds.

Drudge has been a top supporter of Trump during his campaign and the first few months of his administration, but sources told CNN that Drudge is starting to grow frustrated with Trump for not following through with his campaign promises.

A Trump official told CNN that the conservative media magnate is at the White House “all the time,” often visiting Trump, his daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner.
