A toast to mom at Bangkok Joe’s
Posted: 05/10/07 07:52 PM [ET]

Inspired by some of her mother’s favorite ingredients, Bangkok Joe’s Chef/Owner Aulie Bunyarataphan has created a special menu of light entrées, including steamed mussels served in a brass wok. Moms and their guests will enjoy a complimentary mimosa tasting with any mini entrée. Cost: $14 for lunch; $25 for dinner.

Desserts include crèpes topped with Tahitian vanilla-bean ice cream. The special menu will be offered Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

Bangkok Joe’s is located at 3000 K St. NW; phone: 202-333-4422

PS’7s opens the patio doors

Loosen your tie and head to the patio at PS’7s. Enjoy such German-inspired delicacies as house-made hot dogs and half-smokes in the shade of the restaurant’s state-of-the-art umbrellas. Note the summer herbs that double as the table’s centerpiece.

The patio is open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

PS’7s is located at 777 I St. NW; phone: 202-742-8550
