Boxer plans hearing on new climate report

A summary of the findings calls for “substantial action” to limit the magnitude of the changes and notes, “the faster that greenhouse gas emissions are reduced, the lower the risks; and the less pressure there is to make steeper and potentially more expensive reductions later.”

The hearing should be lively. Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), the committee’s ranking member, is the leading climate skeptic on Capitol Hill.
