Energy secretary to visit Alaska next week

Begich told Alaska Dispatch News that Moniz will participate in a roundtable on the state's massive gas pipeline project.

The project in question is a planned gas pipeline and liquefied natural gas export facility that is being pushed by the state, BP, ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips and TransCanada.

A spokesman for the Energy Department wouldn't confirm the roundtable but did tell the Dispatch News that Moniz will be in Alaska.
