Baldwin had served on the House Energy and Commerce Committee from 2005 until this year, when she moved to the Senate.
Baldwin pledged to use her new position to give “Wisconsin a voice” on climate change.
“Global climate change is real. Its impact can be seen on agriculture, biodiversity, rising sea levels, and extreme weather. The question is not whether climate change is occurring, but how our nation is going to respond to it,” she said.
