Sen. Shaheen: Keystone-free efficiency bill can clear House

Hoeven may offer an amendment to approve Keystone, TransCanada Corp.’s proposed pipeline to bring oil sands crude from Alberta to Gulf Coast refineries. Click here for much more about his plans.

While he’s threatening the Keystone amendment, Shaheen also said she sees Hoeven as an ally in advancing the efficiency bill.

“Senator Hoeven has been very helpful as we have been talking about how to move the bill through the process, and I expect he will continue to be,” Shaheen said.
