The array of regulations-related provisions also includes blocking planned EPA regulation of “coal ash,” which is a waste product from coal-fired power plants, in favor of a state-based plan with EPA oversight.
The plan would also include approval of the Keystone XL pipeline, which Republicans announced earlier in the week.
McCarthy touted the plans Friday.
“[T]he pro-growth energy and regulatory policies that the House has passed this year aimed at all-American energy independence can drive a manufacturing resurgence, and reduce energy costs for American households and improving our quality of life,” he said in a statement.
