As we noted in late December, the Senate agreement to debate another debt ceiling increase in January will give Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) the chance to offer an amendment that blocks EPA regulation of greenhouse gas emissions.
But what exactly she’s planning is uncertain.
Spokesman Robert Dillon said in December that Murkowski would revive her plan, floated several months ago, that forces EPA to halt work on rules governing stationary sources like factories and power plants for one year.
But Dillon now says the shape of the amendment has not yet been set. “We have not decided what it is going to look like yet,” he said Tuesday. Stay tuned.
